End of Newtonmore Golf Week 2011

Enjoyable Texas Scramble on Saturday, brought to a close Newtonmore Golf Week 2011 ~ another excellent week of friendly, fun golf. Thanks to organisers & congratulations to Richard, who with his green-keeping staff presented the course in excellent condition. Golfers of all standards welcome. If not already done ~ put in your 2012 diary ~ 4th to 11th August.  

Newtonmore Golf Week in Scotland

During the annual, ever popular Newtonmore Golf Week (6th ~ 13th August) players are enjoying the well groomed course and beautiful surroundings, on the banks of the majestic River Spey and back-dropped by the western flanks of the Grampian Mountains www.newtonmoregolf.com.

The Scottish Open 2011

On Thursday, I attended the first day of the 2011 Scottish Open at Castle Stuart Golf Links, near Inverness. An excellent day at this picturesque location on the shores of the Moray Firth. Many congratulations to the organisers. Given numbers involved ~ a very smooth operation. Quite incredible how in just a little over two years such an excellent, lush, championship links course can be created.  http://www.castlestuartgolf.com/
