First day of another 4 day Spey Journey with a lovely group organised by Willie Gibson. For Willie & his friend Nick MacDonald this is their 11th descent with me.
Yesterday was a wonderful day on an upper section of the lovely Spey above Newtonmore, with doctors and support staff from local GP's practice. Blue skies and warm sunshine ~ so warm some said capsize was a bonus!!

Congratulations Kate & Andrew getting married Oct. at Lennoxlove, E. Lothian http://www.lennoxlove.com. Kate looked simply stunning last weekend in her 'practice' brides-veil at her very special, pre-nuptial 'Girlie Gathering' here at The Beeches ~ http://www.thebeechesnewtonmore.com. A great time was had by all the young ladies ~ that includes the Mums!

River Spey rising steadily with heavy rain presently falling in her Strath. However, undaunted lovely Chinese family staying with us at The Beeches, have gone out in search of the Newtonmore Wildcats ~ 110 brightly painted, life-size 'wildcats' placed around the village ~ the hunt proving to be a challenge and joy for 'children' of all ages."
